This year, the PYP Exhibition takes Science as the focus with central idea "Biodiversity relies on maintaining the Interdependent balance of organisms within systems". The process has been done since December 2015, where the students search articles related to biodiversity problems. So technically, the whole process were done within UOI 4 and UOI 5. To adjust with the time to meet the mentors, we set some slots for combined classes. During the combined classes, we deepen their understandings about core knowledge of biodiversity matters and also to ensure they complete the exhibition journal on the allotted time. We guide them to follow the steps in the journal, which is arranged based on the science skills in "Making PYP Happen" document. • observe carefully in order to gather data
• use a variety of instruments and tools to measure data accurately • use scientific vocabulary to explain their observations and experiences • identify or generate a question or problem to be explored • plan and carry out systematic investigations, manipulating variables as necessary • make and test predictions • interpret and evaluate data gathered in order to draw conclusions • consider scientific models and applications of these models (including their limitations).
